Fatih Mosque in Istanbul is built on the site of the Byzantine Church of the Holy Apostles. It served as the burial site for many Roman emperors, including Constantine the Great and Heraclius. The church had fallen into a severe state of disrepair before it was demolished in 1462 CE.
